Discography
System One
CD album (2005)
Recording things properly in a proper recording studio was something of a departure for The Knockouts, but they stuck to the professional guidance of Grand Master Ant Chapman and came up with System One. New font used on cover.
Eleven sparkling new tunes with song titles from around the world. Features tracks like the bewitching 'Peeper' the befuddling 'D-Zug' and the beguiling 'Husband Material'. Guaranteed for all occasion-parties and available to buy from this site.
Sounds Like Luton
CD album (2005)
Nothing to do with music, even though most of the band were roped in to provide interludes at certain points of the 2005 recording. This is a double album documenting the sounds of Luton, Beds. In 1989, numerous lunatics took compact, out-of-date lo-fi equipment out into the streets and recorded nonsense like the town hall clock, singing in a pub and the mayor opening a bus station opening. And in 2005, the same exercise was repeated. Get the results yourself, through the orders page. Satisfaction not guaranteed.
The Romance of Engineering
CD album (2003)
An
entirely new album featuring the usual mix of lo-fi instrumental surf
music for people who have an aversion to the water. 15 tracks long……
‘long’ being the operative word as the demonic thrash that
is “Citoborma 150” comes in at 9 minutes.
Yeah Bacon Boy – live a little. (£6.50 inc
P&P UK/Ireland, £8.00 elsewhere). >>Download

Mr. Side to Side CD album (released 2003)
Extraordinary
between album thing which we are giving away with the Northern hemisphere
gazette they call “CLOD mag” for the
ridiculous price of £3.00 UK/Ireland, £4.50 elsewhere. Named
after the strange and slightly worrying rapid side to side eye motion
of J’s dentist……
The album contains 12 tracks recorded between 1993 (Brooding
Habits) and 2003. It contains demos, different versions and
stuff you cannot find elsewhere so give us (a very small amount of ca$$h)

Track - Read Review
Cannibal Lounge CD album (recorded 2000 –
2001)
Recorded
mostly on 2 and 4 track machines with the 4 previously recorded studio
tracks “Release the Pigs”,
“The Viper”, “Eraser”
& “El Rinon Picante”. This album was
the one that started getting us airplay – it has to be said almost
exclusively on John Peel’s shows for Radio 1 and World Service,
and receiving an ecstatic review in 2001….the story keeps going
…………..
Despite the recording limitations we stubbornly put upon ourselves, this
release contains some completely unique garagey punk stuff. (For the record
we are aware that Peel has played “Mexico”,
“El Rinon” and incredibly the 40 second sitar
based doodling that is “Monkey Mantra” ).
In total – 15 tunes crammed into 13 tracks (…don’t ask…).
Pretty much not available in any shops except the occasional bold Virgin
Megastore– but hey folks don’t fret – buy from us. It’s
still available.

Gaol 7” 3½ track
vinyl EP (2000)
In
1999, a burst of activity saw them rehearse about, oh, upwards of five
times, and the recording for the first EP “Gaol”
and “Cannibal Lounge” album were completed.
Recorded partly on 2 track and partly in an 8 track studio in High Town.
This vinyl record was meant to feature the KO gem that is Gaol
(a live favourite with many of you) but due to limited ability and time
constraints we hadn’t come up with a decent enough version.
Therefore “Treble Sound” was substituted.
Also featured are “El Rinon Picante/Hell”
and “Mexico”.
Released on ultra heavy Czech vinyl it really is our most desirable looking
release. However, it did not really dent the charts as such, but due to
the sheer weight of the damn things did manage to cause us numerous lower
lumber injuries whilst collecting them from a gigantic holding tank at
Heathrow.
Not available in shops we have only approx 130 left. (£2.50 inc.
P&P in UK/Ireland. £3.50 elsewhere) >>Download

anthony in the u.k. (1993)
In
the beginning there was this odd little tape that ironically got us quite
a bit of notice, albeit in the greater Luton area only… “anthony
in the u.k.” was conceived in the heads of J & Elliot
one balmy afternoon in August 1993 and using only half a drum kit and
a very large organ (no pun intended) they came up with 10 spine tingling
little numbers – but absolutely no words whatsoever.
Andy was drafted in to put on a few rudimentary guitar parts and the
Knockouts were born. On 9/10/1993 they re-entered the living room come
studio of 77 Sunset Strip to finish the job and “anthony
in the u.k.” was the result. Tim, as has become his trademark,
turned up just as the others were packing up but in time to have himself
photographed as the “Face” of the band.
The tape features early versions of such KO classics as Strikeout,
With Palmano (Radio Rio), Lady OK &
Brooding Habits (this version also to be found on the
Mr Side to Side CD). >>Download

Flitwick Records Compilation (2002)
The
magnificent Flitwick
records must qualify as the most generous music bizzers – every
release is given away to anyone who registers an interest at their web
site (link available from this site), and this
CD was no exception. Features an edited and loudly remixed version
of the full-on double strength KO hit “Driving Range/The
